Born in 1997, Charisse is an installation and lens-based artist currently pursuing her bachelors degree in Criticism and Curatorial Practices at OCAD University in Toronto.
Through her surreal world of colour and form she studies and comments on contemporary issues of race, sex, and inequality. Her recent work focuses on the hybrid experience of living between two cultures as a Chinese-Canadian.
Aside from personal and freelance work, she passionately works towards a career in curating - most recently curating two shows for the 2019 Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival.
